“This is my third spa. I’ve been transferred several times. Homebuyers always
want to keep the spa. It’s quite the selling feature. Not wanting to be without
one, I just buy another at my next location.
"The best part is that it relaxes and relieves my sore muscles. The other
benefit is social. When I have company, the spa is the first place that people
want to go, especially in the winter. This year, we had an early snow. My
friends and I sat in the spa as the flakes fell.It was beautiful.”
J.N., Stronghurst, IL
“I use my spa nightly, right before bedtime, year-round. Soaking zonks me out
after a long, stressful day. It’s a quiet, peaceful time. I’m getting in that
103° water because it settles me down.
D.F.,
Wrightsville Beach, NC
“Our son and daughter-in-law enjoy coming to visit, then they soak in the spa.
The spa creates quality family-time opportunities.”

Fulton, IL
“We don’t use our hot tub just for entertainment. My husband has a bad back,
and it really makes a difference for him to sit in the tub and relax. It
loosens up his back muscles.
"Our kids get in and love it, but they’re small. We don’t let them use it
alone, and, for them, the spa’s a short-term deal. My husband and I like to
stay in longer. It’s beautiful. The steam comes up and keeps my face and head
warm. We have a deep model, so our shoulders stay under the water. We use it
all winter.”
M.M.,
Geneseo, IL
“I suffer from chronic arthritis. The warm water helps me tremendously. That’s
the main reason we looked into buying a spa. During the summer, when I swam and
stretched in the pool, I noticed I obtained a lot of relief from my arthritic
problems. So, for year-round relief, we decided to make the spa a gift to
ourselves.
"Movements that I normally can’t do, I’m able to do in the spa. It relieves the
pain and swelling and loosens up the joints. I tried physical therapy, but
nothing helps like a spa. I tell everybody that they’re wasting money on drugs
and treatments. A spa is the answer. It’s wonderful.”
E.B.,
Selden, NY
“My wife and I are getting along in years, and traveling the way we used to is
just out of the question. Buying a spa as a first-time owner at 72
turned out to be the answer. In fact, it’s not only healthy and relaxing, but
we feel that we’re on vacation all the time.”
T.M.
Chico, CA
“One of the reasons I bought the spa was to keep the kids closer to home. I’d
rather have my children and their friends playing at my house than not knowing
where they are. The younger kids use it all the time, wearing water wings and
snorkels. But the older kids and I like to use it in the evening. It’s our
quiet time - no television and no interruptions. We’re rarely able to eat
dinner together, but we have family time out in the spa.”
L.L.,
Fargo, ND
“I love to use the spa early in the morning to limber up and in the evening to
relax. The spa’s warm water and jets help relieve my lower back pain. In the
morning, about an hour after the sun comes up, I’ll sit in the spa and watch
the birds come up to the feeder. The sounds of the birds and the bubbling water
are so peaceful.”
R.C.,
Salina, KS
“I play a lot of softball in the summer, and I’m getting to an age when I don’t
bounce back as quickly from the bumps and strains. After an hour or so in the
spa, with the jets bubbling, my muscles and joints always feel better. My whole
body relaxes. There’s no better way to unwind.”
D.S.,
Holland, MI
“My wife, my 6-year-old and the tree frogs love the spa. It’s warm, relaxing
and gives a great massage. The spa has turned out to be everything we hoped for
and more. It’s easy to maintain. Sometimes the spa becomes the center for
entertaining. Last Fourth of July, we had hot - tubbing and barbecue in the
backyard and fireworks in the front yard.”
P.D.,
Ballwin, MO
“I swear by our spa’s powers. I have a bad back. My physician recommended our
first spa, and it worked wonders. The warm water feels so relaxing. We bought a
new, smaller one, now that it’s just my wife and me. The new one heats faster
and is more economical to operate. We just plain enjoy it.”
J.F.,
Santa Rosa, CA
“It’s a little unusual to be outside wearing only a bathing suit while it’s
snowing. But it’s a wonderful time to relax in my spa. The blowing wind and the
falling snow mix to create an eerie sensation.
“The flakes liquefy, becoming rain drops as they near the tropical temperatures
just above the water. We keep the water at 101°. Steam and heat rise from the
bubbling water, warming the air around our heads to a balmy and comfortable
90°.
“Many of our friends can’t believe we go out in the middle of winter -- until
they try it. Then they’re convinced. At our holiday open house several guests
stayed around after the party broke up, threw towels around themselves, braved
the elements and got in the spa.
“When the temperature falls below 15° or 20°, getting to and from the spa can
be a problem. But, if you can walk the 10 feet or so on the deck, you’re set.
Once you’re in the spa, everything is OK.
“On the other hand, getting out of the spa is no problem. Just throw on a towel
and walk inside. The water keeps you so warm that it would take several minutes
before you feel the cold. By then, you’re in the house.
“Four people can comfortably lounge in our spa, but it can seat eight. The
lounger and other seats have fancy jets that massage and relax you.
“My four teenage and adult daughters thoroughly enjoy our spa. I think they
probably use it more than we do. It’s a great way for families to spend time
together, year-round. It’s our way of life.”

Davenport, IA
